Due to the unseasonably warm weather and safety concerns of the ice conditions, the Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Tournament will be postponed. The new date for the tournament will be held on February 11, 2012 at Westwood Marina on Lake Washington. Preregistration early bird fee($25 off) will be extended to January 25th, and the registration deadline is February 1st, 2012. Find out details of times, registration deadline, brackets, or if event will be postponed due to weather and ice conditions. Update

The annual Anthony Ford Memorial Pond Hockey tournament and silent auction donated $7,350 each to hockey scholarships for under privileged kids in the Mankato area and to the Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia(TACL, who researches new treatments against childhood cancer) this year, a check presentation was held between periods at the Minnesota State Mavericks hockey this evening. If you would like to be a part of the these great causes by donating silent auction items for next year, or a monetary gift, or you would like to be a volunteer, please call the Anthony Ford Memorial committee at (507) 385-6287.

Next years Anthony Ford Pond hockey tournament is scheduled for January 21, 2012, and the silent auction will be held November 12, 2011 at the Verizon Civic Center in Mankato, Minnesota. Our committee has new and exciting plans for the future of the Anthony Ford Memorial fund, not only to improve on our current fund raising events but to expanding our goals for our community. We would like to thank the many volunteers, supporters, teams, donors and sponsors of our event especially our event sponsor, Cambria Counter tops for all the things they do to make our events successful.

Tournament tomorrow

The Anthony Ford Memorial Pond Hockey tournament is set to go in the morning at the Westwood Marina on Lake Washington. The first pucks drop at 8:45 with the youth teams. Cold weather is expected, but all the teams are ready to bring on the heat and melt the ice. All spectators are welcome to enjoy great food at the Westwood grill, bid on some items at our silent auction, test your hockey shooting skills at Anthony Ford Pond Hockey's "The Next Great One Challenge" and be witness to the greatest pond hockey in southern Minnesota. Funds raised at the tournament will go to hockey scholarships for under-privileged youth in the Mankato area and Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia(TACL) research to find the cure for the type of cancer Anthony fought so hard to win.

Registration deadline

Last day for registration is Tuesday at noon, email us by noon and deliver your registration form by 6:00 and we will save you a spot. Currently we have 33 teams registered, our goal is 40. We are in need of Womens teams, Girls under 18 and Mens over and under 30 but we can add to any other bracket so don't miss out.
